Successful companies should support charities.

I’ve had this thought for a long time now.

I’m an avid (obsessed) Angry Birds fan. I have all the games, the plushes, apparel, Ear phones, iPod docks etc you name it, I have it/want it. But this stems from more than just a love of a game.

I love Birds. Well all Animals but Birds are my achilles heel. I own 14 of them at home.

One day, I was on Twitter and looking at all the Angry Bird art the official Twitter account was retweeting, and I thought “I think Bird charities would highly benefit if Rovio got behind them in way of donations and mentions on all of the social networks they are attached too.”

Being a highly popular Bird game, it makes sense.

I once Tweeted them my theory and not surprised NOT to hear back about it.

Maybe I’m naive in my thinking. Money makes the world go round these days and people don’t want to part with what they have, even if it was to make difference in long run. They should follow Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg’s agreement at giving away a percent of profits to charities.

Obviously this is not my choice to decide but it would be lovely to see. What do you think?
